SIBU, August 3 (Bernama) -- Generali Insurance Malaysia Bhd has opened a branch in Sibu to serve as an innovation hub and customer service centre.

Chief executive officer Fabrice Benard said the opening follows the launch of its Kuching and Kota Kinabalu branches.

"Our Sibu branch represents a strategic step in our commitment to bring industry-leading services closer to our customers.

"As a gateway to the heart of Sarawak, Sibu boasts a rich history and a promising future, with robust infrastructure and a growing business environment that makes it an ideal location for expansion," he said at the opening today.

The Sibu branch provides a wide range of services and products, including general and life insurance all under one roof and will be an integral part of the community, he said.

This integrated approach is designed to meet the needs of the local community and businesses,  reinforcing Generali Malaysia’s commitment to being a trusted lifetime partner for its clients.

Sarawak's Deputy Public Health, Housing and Local Government II Minister Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee officiated at the opening.
