FORMER KATIBAS ASSEMBLYMAN DIES

SIBU, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Former Sarawak rural development and public facilities deputy minister Datuk Seri Ambrose Blikau Enturan died at the Normah Medical Centre today. He was 70.

He leaves behind his wife Datin Seri Marie Therese Mathias, two sons and a daughter and eight grandchildren.

According to a post shared by the deceased’s immediate family on social media, his remains were brought back to his residence at Jalan Kedandi, Lorong 8, Tabuan Dusun.

A prayer session will be held tonight while the wake service will be tomorrow.

The deceased will be laid to rest at the Nirvana Memorial Park Kuching on Monday.

Born on June 22, 1953, he had also served as the Sarawak deputy minister of resource planning from 1987 to 2000 and the state's deputy minister of finance from 2001 to 2006.

He was the Katibas assemblyman from 1979 to 1987 and from 1991 to 2021.
