KUCHING, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Kuching City FC face an uphill task in their 2026/2027 AFC Champions League Two (ACL2) clash against South Korea's Gangwon FC tomorrow, with several players sidelined through injury.

Head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak said at least five players have been ruled out, including Ajdin Mujagic, Ronald Ngah Wanja, Gabriel Peres, Jimmy Raymond, and Ahmad Israiwah.

"Of course, it is difficult without key players, but I choose to look at this positively.

Kuching City FC players undergo training ahead of their AFC Champions League Two (ACL2) match against Gangwon FC tomorrow at Taha Ariffin Stadium.

"We do not want to make any promises. Instead, we will focus on internal preparations to ensure the players are in peak condition and ready for the match," he told a pre-match press conference at Stadium Taha Ariffin here today.

Aidil described Gangwon FC as a disciplined and well-drilled side with experienced players, which meant his men must be switched on at all times during the game.

In their first meeting in South Korea on Oct 29, Kuching City were edged 1-0 by Gangwon FC.
