Sneak preview of 18th Mini Film Fest on Saturday in Sibu

SIBU, June 23 (Bernama) -- ‘Peon’, ‘Kelinguh’ and ‘Setting Moon’ are among the short films featured by Sibu Digital Innovation Hub for free viewing by the public at its premises in Jalan Kuda here this Saturday.

Legal officer and coordinating officer of the Sibu Digital Innovation Hub programme, Charlly Simon said this free viewing is a sneak preview to promote the 18th Mini Film Festival and Mini Art Festival (MFF X MAF) which will be held in Kuching from July 14-17.

"The MFF X MAF Festival is an international festival that brings together industry players, talents, experts and investors in the field of art and film from all over Southeast Asia including Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar," he said at a press conference here today.

According to him, an interview with the festival director and senior lecturer of the Applied and Creative Arts Faculty at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Yow Chong Lee and film director Izaq Yuzaini will be held on Sunday.

He added that this festival is to give the public an insight on the objectives, vision and mission of this cinematography programme, as well as share opinions, suggestions and criticisms related to the film and art industry in Malaysia.
