AIRASIA TO COMMENCE SINGAPORE-SIBU ROUTE ON DEC 16
KUCHING, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- AirAsia’s Singapore-Sibu route is set to kick off on Dec 16 with a frequency of four flights per week, said Sarawak Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
“We will also have the Singapore-Kuching and Singapore-Miri routes,” he said after officiating at the Third Business Events Tribal Meet here today.
Abdul Karim said the flights for the Singapore-Kuching and Singapore-Miri routes would be operated by Scoot airlines.
In addition, he said Sarawak would also have its boutique airline in the region, which is expected to be launched next year.
“Sarawak already has its small airline, which is used by the state government, and it will play an important role in the new boutique airline,” he added.
